Homestyle Ripple Crochet Afghan

I crochet two blankets for each of my babies.  One of them is white for their blessing day and one is more fun with color.  Before I always just used the same color of yarn and picked a stitch to make the entire afghan.  This time I thought I'd change it up a bit.  I bought the Homestyle Ripple Crochet Afghan kit from Herrschners.com and I made this beautiful blanket.  It took me quite some time, about eight weeks of free time to make it but it was worth it.  It's for my youngest boy and he's very attached to it.  I think it's what started his undying love for all things crochet.
